Meet Erin Leffel, PA-C, IFM Certified
Erin is an intensive and wellness provider at Sanctuary Functional Medicine in Franklin, TN. After obtaining her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, she began her journey in healthcare, specializing in emergency medicine. Working in a variety of ERs over the past 8+ years required her to regularly care for patients suffering the debilitating and sometimes lethal effects of preventable chronic disease that conventional medicine had failed to manage.

This fostered a strong desire to shift her career into a setting that would allow her to partner with patients in their health journey by addressing the root cause of their symptoms and preventing the development of chronic disease.

Having obtained her certification from the Institute of Functional Medicine, along with advanced training in hormone optimization from A4M, she has gained a new foundation to not only address core imbalances but also to help her patients implement lifestyle, nutrition, and exercise habits to reverse chronic disease and achieve optimal wellness.

Outside of work, she thrives on movement and adventure, whether it’s CrossFit, hiking, biking, or traveling internationally for medical mission trips. Closer to home, she loves exploring Tennessee with her pup, and is always looking for the next great trail or hidden gem.
